Multi-Agency Teams

Multi-agency working brings together practitioners from different sectors and professions within the workforce, to provide integrated support to children, young people and their families.   There are many different ways of delivering multi-agency services and more information can be found on the Children in Wales / Plant yng Nghymru website.

"Spending three years doing my degree was the best preparation for working with young children. It gave me an excellent grounding in child development and psychology. I also spent my holidays volunteering and working in early years settings to build up my experience. Upon graduating I worked for two and a half years as a Nursery Assistant and After School Club/Holiday play Scheme Supervisor. Without my degree it is unlikely I would have been able to go right into a supervisory position after qualifying. After further training I moved on to lead a project with Adopted and Fostered children in a medium sized county in England. This involved creating policy, guidance and training. After a year in this role I was made a Lead Professional for my locality. This meant leading multi agency teams to give the best outcomes for children we all worked with rather than all working individually."
